Infusion Therapy

This therapy is the IV administration (i.e. intraveneous administration of drugs) of medicines through a needle or catheter. It is recommended when a patient cannot be treated by oral medication. This therapy uses non-oral methods like intramuscular injection or epidural route. Diseases treated with this therapy include dehydration, gastric diseases, cancer related problems or any other disease that cannot be treated with oral therapy. Infusion therapy is also provided to patients with chronic and rare diseases. Common infusion therapy treatments include:

Chemotherapy
Fluids for dehydration
Antibiotics
Arthritis treatment
Migraine protocol or pain management
